what Man may have seen

the southern way
of subtle disrespect

the savage grins
and the unfounded
bed friends
dripping with sweat

who remembers
their own youth
through wilted prisms

swallowed light
brimming
with photon diversity

the panic of buying souls
on the social black
market

the family swimming
in the
Gold Rush
estuary

Supplicants
in revolt
